Spicers Tamarind Styled Wedding Shoot

One of the most flattering and incredible parts of my job is when I get invited to collaborate with a team of wedding professionals, and on this occasion each of them at the top of their game, and individually truly inspiring and savvy industry colleagues. So I didn’t hesitate of course when asked to join this crew of movers and shakers. We all set forth and combined our creativity to take part in a rustic elegant shoot at the beautiful Spicers Tamarind Retreat. At the helm was Trudy from Lovebird Weddings, I have the wonderful opportunity to work with Trudy often and you could say we have a fantastic unspoken collaborative force that seems to just click perfectly each time, and this styled shoot was certainly no different. I loved the opportunity to create a whimsical floral concept that melded beautifully with the styling and décor and the organic surroundings of this luxury property.

We featured our vintage eclectic collection of brass and copper vessels, and the tarnished texture of these antique pieces were a perfect base for our choice of blooms.

Dahlia’s would have to be one of my favourite blooms, they have a little bit of ‘hipster hello’ to them, and we adored featuring these little beauties throughout this luxurious concept. Also taking centre stage were some more of our lovelies including David Austin roses, hydrangea, hyacinths, double tulips, lisianthus, camellia blooms, trailing ivy, jasmine, and a touch of baby’s breath.

The bridal bouquet would have to be one of our favourites as we embraced the eclectic textures of our feature blooms and created a softly structured hand held rustic design.

Make sure you take a look at these amazing stylists who strut their stylish stuff in unison to create this love story, photographed by one of the best Marcus Bell from Studio Impressions. You could say we all fell in love and in awe, of each others talents, the magnificent setting, the tranquility and the layers of luxury that harmoniously combined to create this truly romantic affair.
