We are so excited to showcase one of our most favourite weddings of last year, the gorgeous Laura married her beau Dean in Noosa in November. Travelling from Melbourne to celebrate their wedding, family and friends witnessed a chic ceremony which was held near Noosa Woods and then enjoyed a stunning reception which followed later at Sails Restaurant.
Laura and Dean engaged wedding planners Events of Noosa to co-ordinate their special day and director Kim Eibrink-Jansen gave us full control of the floral styling, so with some amazing ideas from Laura, we designed a unique floral concept encapsulating a cool summer colour palette of white and green, featuring interesting textures including berries, vine and succulents. Peonies and hydrangeas were on Laura’s wish list so the beautiful peony blooms – only available for 5 weeks of the year, featured prominently in the designs.
Laura’s brief to me on her bouquet was “to make it big, it has to be a showstopper” and I think we achieved that, I can still remember her squeals of delight when we delivered her bouquets, she was completely overwhelmed by the design and it was certainly big enough!
The ceremony featured a framed floral structure, draped with white Oriental lilies, Singapore orchids and dodder vine, chair posies and rose petals completed the look and of course Noosa delivered a gorgeous sunny day for this beautiful couple’s ceremony.
The tables at Sails featured a design set-up of 3 vases with florals including hydrangea, peonies and white Lisianthus. Feature plinths of peonies in large vases were also showcased throughout the restaurant.
A big thank you to our gorgeous bride Laura who was a delight to work with on her wedding, and who sent us all of these beautiful images, photography by Davel Photography.
