The following story of love took place at picturesque Spicers Clovelly Estate in October 2014, under a perfect Spring sky, while the Jacaranda tree was in fabulous flower and those delicate lavender blue florets were seen at their finest yet. Beauty was most certainly crafted, created and captured by many at this glamorous affair, the wedding of Kristy and Trent was one of opulence and sophistication, it was one that will be remembered by all of us, and this adoring and magnificent event will no doubt continue to inspire for many years to come.
It was an absolute privilege to be chosen to create the floral concept for Kristy and Trent, it all started with a beautiful meeting, when Kristy told me about her vision for her much anticipated wedding day style. This gorgeous girl already had so many ideas and concepts, she just needed someone to bring them to life, we chatted enthusiastically about her floral vision and then I worked closely with Kristy and her inspiration to replicate and create her chosen floral style. This beautiful bride-to-be was super organised and very prepared when we met, armed with loads of inspirational images and a pretty damn amazing Pinterest page, she knew exactly what she wanted! Kristy had already imported most of the vases and chalices you will see in the inspirational images below, the beautiful gold vessel collection represented the key styling focus of the day and we had oodles of gorgeous gold accents to work with, but most importantly a fabulous brief that enabled us to design the most amazing feature flowers within these designer delights for this beautiful day.
Together Kristy and I and in combination with the talented team at Love Bird Weddings worked on finalising the creative styling and floral concept for this glamorous wedding soiree. Flowers, as you will undoubtedly see, were an absolute focus for Kristy, the chic colour palette featured every shade of pink imaginable, and was accented by shades of coral, orange, ivory, blush and white. We showcased the coral peony, with David Austin roses, and also included double tulips, ranunculus, lace roses, sweet pea, cottage roses, hydrangea, stock, andromeda and dusty miller.
Kristy’s bouquet featured hints of pale pink with ivory and blush David Austin roses and we were very lucky to receive the very first cut of white peonies for the season, which enabled us to include a couple of these beautiful blooms within the bouquet design. Kristy’s bouquet was designed to be formal yet chic and flow perfectly with the style of her glamorous couture designed gown and breathtaking veil created by Judy Copely Bridal. The bridesmaids stunning gold sequined dresses were the perfect styling choice to then feature bold bouquets that accented the brighter colours featured within the colour palette of the day.
It was a fabulous floral concept that featured a lush petal path at ceremony that then lead to the glamorous gold chalice designs placed on the timber buffet at the end of the aisle. Pretty posies featured on each of the East Hampton chairs provided by Love Bird Weddings and the surrounding area featured décor and glamorous furniture pieces for the guests to retreat in after the formalities concluded.
The reception was held on the library deck and featured an overwhelming picture of glamour, Kristy had introduced so many personal elements that included gold charger plates, gold cutlery and various gold décor pieces that adorned each table, sweets and candles and personalised antique photo frames introduced sweet sentiment into each setting.
The flowers were abundant, vases upon vases, chalices upon chalices, blooms upon blooms!
Each table featured a mass of gold inspired vessels that we lovingly filled with lush floral designs. Incorporating flowers in blush pink, mid-pink and magenta pink with accents of rich coral and orange to create an opulent flower wonderland.
Hanging above this decadent dining experience were our floral and willow installations that we delicately intertwined with the hanging crystal chandeliers. Grouped floral blooms featured amongst the rustic inspired willow branches that adorned the beautiful space above this magnificent setting, and finished off this floral concept with an overwhelming WOW!
It is always a delight to feature beautiful weddings at Spicers Clovelly Estate, and how spoilt we were to have the master, Marcus Bell from Studio Impressions capture this incredible flower story so perfectly! As you can see from the images below, Marcus is passionate about photography, for the team at Studio Impressions it’s all about loving glances, tender kisses, shared laughter and joyful tears – the relationships between people. And for Kristy and Trent it was a day of that and so much more.
This wedding was an event filled with glamour and refinement, style and sophistication, and featured a floral concept that many dream of, one that we had the pleasure to create, it was a delight to work so closely with Kristy, we had an incredible experience taking charge of the splendid floral concept, and it was an absolute honour to produce and deliver this beautiful brides floral vision, exactly how she imagined it. Kristy was a very determined and driven bride-to-be, who absolutely stayed true to her fabulous wedding dream!
Congratulations Kristy and Trent and thank you for having me as part of your memorable day xx
