Irish couple Evelyn and Joe wanted a contemporary wedding day reflecting all of the colours and vibrancy of the their new home on the Sunshine Coast. Evelyn wanted her wedding flowers to be unusual, with an edgy design and a modern twist.

We created a gorgeous trailing bouquet for her with pink frangipani’s, fuscia orchids, ginger blooms, Singapore orchids, green antheriums and a touch of classic phalaenopsis orchid blooms. We featured tropical foliages and succulents through the designs, and mini pineapples were featured in the bridesmaids bouquets. The colour palette worked beautifully with the girls stunning lemon gowns and Evelyn’s elegant ivory wedding gown provided a beautiful neutral feature for her vibrant wedding bouquet.

Evelyn and Joe’s guests flew in from London and Ireland to help them celebrate their wedding day and arrived to experience the typical hot summer of Queensland.Evelyn and Joe had a beachside ceremony at Marcoola and their wedding reception was held at Surfair Beach Resort Marcoola. Christmas and the New Year period normally presents the opportunity to take some well earned leave and experience a little down time. Christmas of 2008 was an incredibly busy period although, so my usual holiday was put on hold as I couldn’t resist the opportunity to design and create the gorgeous wedding bouquets for Anna and Brendan. Residing in London both Anna and Brendan wanted a Summer wedding back home in Australia, so leaving the harsh cold winter of England and arriving on the Sunshine Coast to a typically hot summer was a welcome relief and the beaches of our Sunshine Coast provided a beautiful setting for their divine black tie wedding.

Their ceremony was held at St Mary’s catholic church in Tewantin, with an elegant reception held at Ebb Restaurant Maroochydore.
Anna was in love with white hydrangeas, and she chose the right month to have them as a feature in her wedding bouquets, she drew inspiration from a wedding bouquet she had seen in an American magazine featuring white Hydrangea and silver dusty miller foliage. Anna hand made her feature brooches and placed each bridesmaids name on them, we then placed them on the satin binding of each bouquet, the end result was just stunning!!

Ebb Waterfront Restaurant provided an elegant setting for their black tie wedding, we styled the long tables with feature mirror tiles and placed 3 simple glass vases with hydrangea blooms on each table, with gorgeous candle votives that the bride supplied. It was a delight to be part of their special day and I am sure you will agree by the stunning photographs captured by Luisa Garcia. Anna and Brendan achieved their dream wedding day with style and sophistication.
